PRESENT SIMPLE -> PAST SIMPLE

PRESENT CONTINUOUS -> PAST CONTINUOS

PAST SIMPLE / PRESENT PERFECT -> PAST PERFECT

WILL -> WOULD

AM/IS/ARE GOING TO -> WAS/WERE GOING TO

CAN -> COULD

MUST -> HAD TO

MAY-> MIGHT

NB: con il PAST PERFECT e i verbi modali ( WOULD ,COULD, SHOULD, MIGHT, OUGHT TO) il tempo non cambia.


RICORDARSI CHE:
i pronomi, gli aggettivi possessivi, le espressioni di tempo e luogo cambiano come:

now -> at the moment, o, then
this -> that
here -> there
yesterday -> the day before
tomorrow -> the next day

per fare le frasi di discorso diretto si usano i verbi:
ask = chiedere
tell = dire
said = dire
warn = avvisare

COSTRUZIONE FRASI CON SAID.

she said, " i went to the cinema yesterday". DIRETTA
she said she had gone to the cinema the day before. INDIRETTA

they said: "this is our book"DIRETTA
thei said tha was their book INDIRETTA

she said: "it is very quiet here" DIRETTA
she said it was very quiet there. INDIRETTA
