each other & reflexive pronoun

EACH OTHER

Nel caso in cui la reciprocità riguardi due persone/cose si usa la forma each other, per esempio we love each other (ci amiamo), You and I saw each other at the bar (io e te ci siamo visti al bar).

RIFLEXIVE PRONOUNS

Pronome Equivalente
italiano
Note
1a myself mi, me stesso/a
2a yourself ti, te stesso/a
3a himself
herself
itself
si, se stesso
si, se stessa
si, se stesso/a
per persone maschi
per persone femmine
indica animali, oggetti, concetti astratti
1a ourselves ci, noi stessi/e

  • I cut myself while I was cooking dinner.Mi sono tagliato mentre preparavo la cena.
  • She makes herself a nice salad for lunch.

  • The butter melted.

  • Take care of yourself.

  • She made her dress by herself. — Si è fatta l'abito da sola.
  • You yourself saw what happened. — Tu stesso hai visto cos'è successo
